The short side of the story, after him was my Grandfather Charlie and my daddy. They were pretty much in the livestock trucking business for all their lives. Me I drove a tractor trailer for my dad hauling cattle to Texas and Oklahoma from about 1968 to '74. And then I got a wild hair to be a cop. And I retired with the Osceola Sherriff's Office with 38 years. I was captain of criminal investigations. I married his [Victor Ratliff] sister. She's from Kentucky...
