Illuminations: Reflections of Earth feature fireworks made in China.
The spectacular cosmic explosion which begins the show is made possible through the use of Disney's patented Air Launch Fireworks (ALF) technology. 1,105 shells are fired during each show. Two special floating fireworks effects were created specifically for the show: Starfield Effect and Floating Torches. The effects in the show include a unique palette of colors featuring: mint green, pumpkin orange, lagoon blue and lavender.Shell Types: comets, candles, mines, shells, tailed shells, crossettes, scattering bees, whistles, reports/salutes, ground effects, floaters.

The three photos in this series are from home videos recorded during a trip to three of China's most famous fireworks manufacturers in February 1999: Hop Kee Pyrotechnics Ltd. on February 9, 1999; Mantsuna Fireworks on February 10, 1999, and SUNNY Fireworks on February 11, 1999.
The first photograph shows workers in China assembling aerial firework shells.
The second photograph shows racks of firework shells await packaging and shipment to Walt Disney World in Orlando.
The third photograph is one of the thousands of boxes of firework shells headed to the U.S. for use in the nightly Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
